Kri and Adam

Adam and Kris

Kris was not our early favorite in AI, since we thought he only had the looks but not much talent. Adam was our early favorite, against judge-favorite Danny Gokey. Adam is very entertaining and he always makes his performances unpredictable. Our favorite was his rendition of Smokey Robinson’s “The Tracks of My Tears” where he utterly resembled Elvis Presley; and his version of “Mad World“.

However, Adam’s trademark screeching and high notes was not my kind of music, that’s perhaps why eventually I liked Kris over him. Kris’ creative takes on song arrangements and laid back singing style may perhaps became crucial for his AI win. We love his versions of “Heartless“,  ”Ain’t No Sunshine“, “She Works Hard for the Money“, “To Make You Feel My Love” and “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)“. Although Adam was more talented vocally, I think Kris compensated this with his use of various instruments (guitar and keyboard) and his original versions of popular songs (much like David Cook). Whether it was an Adam or Kris win, they both deserve it.

I can’t wait to watch the Final results show tonight! :)

This post has already been late, but can’t help bragging about this picture with Oble. A college student’s wish to have a picture with the UP symbol took five years to be granted.

The photo above was taken when we were in UP last month for my younger sister’s college graduation. I took a stroll alone and fortunately found a family there willing to take this picture. More shots of picturesque UP below.

With the three of us already graduated, I don’t know when I can come back to UP again. Sa bagay, sabi nga nila kung gusto palaging mayroong paraan. ;)
