Have you ever wondered what it will be when you and your siblings work for the same company and stay under the same roof? Well, that will be our case starting this coming Monday. My younger sister has accepted a job from the company where I and my elder sister work. We work on different business units but nevertheless since the company is not that big, there is a huge chance for us to interact even at work. Even with me and my elder sister, we are now located pretty close in our work areas – starting this year when our group transferred to the floor where she was in.

Bunso will be working on the upper floor so that somehow limits our visibility to her while she is working. :P . Ever since childhood the three of us are already buddies so I think that’s the reason why we don’t mind if we will be working for the same company. Well of course you can guess that there will also be a lot of jests on the three of us, but yeah that’s part of it. I am quite happy for her now that she finally signed a job contract, after a couple of months job hunting and interviews. Congratulations sis and we wish you the best!

Foot Flush April 15, 2009

For weeks now,  I have noticed acrobatics in the ladies’ CR cubicles on our floor at the office. You can notice it if you are inside one of the cubicles. The ladies aim their foot at the toilet flush handle, some subtly, others do karate kicks. I haven’t done these nor saw this form of flushing before, thus I found it as a really weird way of flushing the toilet.

I always flush with my hands on the handle and wash my hands afterwards. Seeing ladies flush with their feet, I suddenly thought if this is good toilet etiquette. I think they do these to protect their hands from getting dirty on the flush handle. But I think it is not good courtesy for the next user who will be flushing with their hands, considering that shoes are dirty too. If handles are meant to be flushed with feet then it should not be situated up on the water closet, they should have invented some kind of a flush pedal. Flushing with our feet could also destroy the toilet handle. Perhaps that’s the reason why there are sensors now on some public toilets. These are just my opinions, but what do you think about it?
